Days Four and Five

Yesterday began in beautiful vineyards. Around every bend was a scene more breathtaking than the last. I walked solo, listening to music and communing in my heart with God.

My previous walking companion and I had a surprise reunion at dinner and walked today together. It’s been fun to see others we have met at various cafes and stops along the way.

I enjoyed a pilgrim facility for lunch where a volunteer from a France asked me earnestly if I was okay and then went to work making me a wonderful salad! Earlier in the day, I stumbled upon a little alcove nestled in the trees with couches, a hammock and a delightful food stand. Treasures along the way…

Today was rainy and cold, but mostly flat terrain which was a nice change.
